Thanks to all of you for a great year!!! I am looking forward to spending time in New York City and enjoying the fall. Next season will be my last as commissioner and I look forward to working on your behalf once again.

Congratulations to Phil and his Hartford team for winning the championship. Great job!!

From Phil:
“First, I’d like to thank Frank’s and O’Neil’s for hosting the tournament and providing a great weekend for everyone! Luckily, after back to back soaking weekends, the weather was near perfect for playing softball in beautiful New London!
We played some of the closest games in playoff memory, including a nail biter extra inning game. One or two plays could have made a big difference in the outcome of the tournament. I’m fortunate and proud to have a group of never say die players, who fought back hard from deficits, including being down in three bottom of the last innings and coming up with tying and winning runs against a very tough York St Team! Nick Sacco always puts together a talented team that is as competitive as any playoff team could be. We had some great clutch hitting by Charlie, Brian, Eric, Ross, Bruce, Chris, and Snowy to go along with some great pitching by Big Mike Bigda; who pitched out of a few crucial innings. I want to thank all of the coaches and board members who made this a very memorable weekend.”

From Nick Sacco:
“Thank you York Street for another great season. Not only for playing your part in getting us to the finals once again but also for your dedication to the league and our team. I enjoy playing with each of you and I hope to see everyone back next year.
Drama on our team is almost nonexistent which I feel adds to every player's experience. I'm proud to play with everyone on our team. I would also like to send out a special “thank you” to the one and only Stephanie Spitz who is the glue that holds us together!!!”
